Most signs in tourist areas are in both Chinese and English, although the translations can be interesting.  A simple American "keep out" or "stay on trail" often gets a bit of explanation for the reason, as seen in the top sign.  As for the botton sign, well, the idea of lying fallow and disporting a cup of tea sounds OK to me.
