Image Description
Most of my photography simply documents where I went and what I did.
I certainly do not consider it art. But even a blind hog finds an acorn now and
then, and thus I occasionally snap a photo that has some artistic quality.
I took this photo while cross country skiing. A small bit of snow had
fallen from a tree branch onto a steep slope. That bit of snow then rolled downhill
collecting more snow as it went. (I guess you could say that “things just snowballed.”)
When it came to rest at the base of the slope, the snowball had formed a donut over 1 foot in diameter.
The backlighting and the soft texture of the newly fallen snow give this photo a surrealistic feel,
which is absent from most of my pictures.
