Bear Track

Every beach and muddy spot is covered with bear, moose, and wolf tracks.  This area has the highest density of brown bears on earth—as many as one bear per square mile.  The question is not if, but when, you will meet up with Ursus arctos horribilis.  Just telling you that brown bears grow to way over 1,000 pounds may not mean much, but one photo is worth 1,000 words, and this track puts the size of Alaskan brown bears into human perspective.

BTW, having tracks like this all through your campsite gives you considerable incentive not to leave your tent when nature calls in the middle of the night, so don't forget your pee bottle!
